Description

This 100% Carricante displays a piercingly mineral aroma; salty, herbaceous, grassy notes combine with soft white peach and a flinty, stony-inflected tang. The wine is crisp, lean with vibrant. Its racy acidity provides a fresh, clear and linear mouthfeel. Lemon juice and lemon peel lead to a long and refreshing finish.

Not dissimilar to Chablis, Pietradolce produce a truly classic Etna white, which has won high praise from international critics. Most vocal among these is surely the Wine Advocate’s Monica Larner, who proclaims Pietradolce as “one of [her] favourite estates” and has highlighted the Bianco as “great value”.
