Coming from a blend of Sauvignon and Semillon, all farmed organically, the 2019 G de Guiraud is a stunning white Bordeaux. Textured and intense, with lots of energy, it’s a white that will delight from day one, for a few years to come. This wine stands out from the crowd as it is aged in barrels that created 1er cru Sauternes the previous year.

A leading Sauternes producer, Château Guiraud also makes this delicious dry white. Average vine age 35 years, with an equal mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon; 80% oak fermentation, matured seven months in wood. Creamy texture, crisp acidity, grapefruit notes on nose and palate but very subtle. The palate is in fine balance – a white wine overdelivering at the price. - Tasted by: Andy Howard MW.
