The famous Sancerre house of André Dezat was split between two sides of the family in 2021, Firmin Dezat with help from his father Phillipe has retained the old family winery in the village of Verdigny and half the vineyard holding which he is current converting to organic farming. His vineyards are spread over the two main soil types of Sancerre known as, Terre Blanches, chalky clay and Caillottes, stony limestone giving a good depth of flavour. His wines have a real purity with a good backbone of minerality and fresh acidity, they should keep well too. It is dry and fruity with a wonderfully delicate bouquet and has great length.
