Domaine Fredavelle is a family run vineyard managed by business partners David Ravel and Olivia Menigoz. Located in the heart of Provence in Southern France, the vineyards span 23 hectares in the famous AOP area of Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence in the small village of Eguilles. The climate is Mediterranean with long, dry summers and a mistral wind that blows down the Rhône. The name Fredavelle is the name of the land where David built the first structure for vinification. David and Olivia’s vision is to restructure the vineyards—replace very old vines, plant new grape varieties, increase production area and invest in upgrading production equipment to conform to organic practices. Already HVE certified, the winery underwent a conversion to organic farming that was fully realised in 2022 with the introduction of their 2021 vintage.
50% Vermentino & 50% Sauvignon Blanc
This is a dry wine with an elegant, fruity nose. On the palate there is a beautiful harmony between the freshness of exotic fruits and a light mineral finish. Long and persistent. Excellent as an aperitif and pairs well with fish in sauce, creamy risotto and hard cheeses. Drink between 8 and 10c and within 2-3 years.
