Most famous appellation of Chablis, this Grand Cru has a south exposure and a soil from the Kimmeridgen, very rocky with white and dense clays. Our big parcel of 3 ha in one big piece, goes from the bottom of the hill, nearly up to the top, which allows us to divide it in three different parcels (the bottom, the middle and the top). They are always vinified separately but blended all together at the end to make one cuvée. The average age of the vines is 50 to 60 years old.
"The palate is expressive: finely tuned with a fine bead of acidity, tensile and saline, it has great penetration and a compelling flinty finish. Excellent." - Vinous Media 93-95 VM
"Here the interesting sleek, intense and ultra-fresh middleweight flavours that possess excellent size, richness and power where the latter suffuses the sappy, muscular and saliva-inducing, moderately dry and compact finale. This very promising effort is going to need at least a decade to realize its full potential. Impressive." - Burghound 92-95 BH
