The 50ha Château Maris domaine in Minervois’ La Liviniere (cru classe) is 100% organic and biodynamic. It has been named “one of the five most environmentally-friendly wineries in the world” by WineSpectator and a “Sustainability hero” by Jancis Robinson MW. Maris boasts a world-first carbon-negative winery constructed from hemp bricks while the vineyards are hand-harvested and tilled by a horse-drawn plough. Sales of their wine support local wildlife and biodiversity initiatives such as L’Aspas and La Masion de L’Abeille, and they even made headlines for shipping wine to the USA by sailboat!
Nestled in the Brama countryside emerges a vineyard, situated high above Félines-Minervois, offering a spectacular vantage point over the plain, with the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean sea in the distance. It is in this natural setting that Brama takes root, offering up a vibrant 100% Grenache Gris.
Taste : Nose of fresh and concentrated tropical fruit, honeysuckle, lemon zest and buttery almonds. Medium-bodied with a nice elegant texture enhanced by acidity. Aging potential: 5-8 years.
94 Points- Jeb Dunnuck
"All Grenache Gris, the 2019 Grenache Gris Brama is straight-up terrific, offering a rich, medium to full-bodied, fruit-loaded style as well as pure, clean aromatics of white peach, honeyed white flowers, brioche, and a kiss of background minerality. I love its purity, it has remarkable balance, and it is drinking spectacularly well today. Bravo." Jeb Dunnuck.
