Querciabella Riserva is the optimal result of the estate’s commitment to site selection. A superior Chianti Classico where the nuances of each vineyard meld harmoniously in a uniquely faceted expression of Sangiovese. Itis the perfect blend of the estate’s best parcels of Sangiovese from vineyards in Greve, Radda and Gaiole in Chianti. Through a rigorous micro-vinification regime, they are keen to explore and exalt their minute details to bring their varietal expression of Sangiovese to a superior level. 2011 was the first vintage we released as a designated “Riserva” since 1999. The reception from clients and the press has been outstanding. Tasting: Intensely redolent of cherries, violet and hints of aromatic herbs and spices on the nose. On the palate we find also an important darker fruit character paired with velvet tannins and a long-lasting finish driven an important structure and volume on the palate.
