Jaroslav Springer Winery is a family-owned winery in Boretice. The Ctvrte vineyard is south-oriented and belongs to the top-quality locations in the Czech Republic. It is situated on a sloping hill between the villages of Boretice and Vrbice at an altitude of 190-220m. The soil is loamy with winded loess layers and together with the unique microclimate creates excellent conditions for varieties of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which we grow here on 4 hectares.
Vineyard Route of Zagreb
The Záhebenské vineyard, between Boetice and Kobyl, is one of the oldest vineyard routes. It has been on the map since 1621. The unique character of the wines is due to the specific soil and climatic conditions. It is located at an elevation of 190 meters. The soil is clay-sandy loess with underlying sandstone and limestone. Top wines are created here. The vineyard faces southeast. 2.5 hectares. Here, we grow Pinot noir and Chardonnay.
Moravia Wine Region
90–95% of the wines from the Czech Republic are produced in Moravia, which is located in the southeast of the nation and borders Austria. The climate of Moravia is described as "transient" by the Czech wine authorities; it is primarily continental but can occasionally exhibit maritime characteristics when weather patterns blow in from the Atlantic. Lakes can be found all over the area, and the vineyards are on gentle slopes. The region is on the 49th parallel, making it comparable to Alsace, Burgundy, and Champagne in terms of latitude.
The wine matured in Francois Freres barriques. The colour is brick red. Aromas and flavours of cherry, strawberry and chocolate...very good drinking.
