Weingut Gerd Stepp is a winery located in Germany, in the Rheinhessen wine-growing region. The winery is run by Gerd Stepp, a winemaker with a passion for producing quality wines.
Gerd Stepp and his team cultivate several grape varieties, including Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. They strive to create wines that reflect the unique character of the Rheinhessen region, with a focus on terroir and sustainable viticultural practices.
As a family business, Weingut Gerd Stepp prides itself on preserving tradition and craftsmanship in combination with modern techniques. They strive for constant improvement and innovation in their wine production.
Stepp Pinot Noir is a fruity and smooth red wine, elegant and with light earthy notes. We taste fruit of strawberries, cherries and blackberries, but in the distance also cinnamon and bay leaf. The wine has a mild acidity and little tannin, so flexibility is guaranteed. Despite the fact that Gerd could also have put Spätburgunder on the label, he prefers the more recognizable international name: Pinot Noir. Where Riesling is the grape for white in Germany, Pinot Noir or Spätburgunder is for red.
Delicious with veal and pork, duck, poultry with creamy sauce, dishes with mushrooms.
