Description
Musar has assumed legendary status. Complex, long-lived and endlessly varied, in some vintages it seems more like a Burgundy, in others a Bordeaux, in still others a Hermitage. But it is always brilliantly, uniquely, Lebanese.
Vines at Chateau Musar are managed with minimal human interference and the estate was the first in Lebanon to achieve organic certification. Most vines are located in the Bekaa Valley, cradled between two mountain ranges running along the Lebanon’s Mediterranean coastline where vines have been cultivated here for more than 6,000 years. Dense and richly textured with baked fruits flavours of plums, damsons, cherries and figs and hint of pepper and violet and at 6 years of age upon release, it is already developed and ready to drink now.
Great paired with rich, roasted game dishes.
