CASCINA RADICE Barolo DOCG 'Poiana' 2018/19 Bottle

Description

From the area of Serralunga d'Alba Province of Cuneo Piedmont, the vineyard has a small production of 30,000 bottles. Harvested mid October. Traditional maceration of 12 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature 28 degrees - then 36 months aging in large oak barrels, followed by a further 6 months in the bottle.
The colour is shiny red with garnet reflections. The fragrance is complex, elegant and persistent. The taste is dry, rich and with a long aftertaste. It has good weight of flavour and ripe cherries and raspberry notes on the palate with a touch of smokiness. Seriously good value Barolo.
