Domaine Durban is the stand-apart property in the Rhone village of Beaumes-de-Venise where the quality and aromatics of the Muscat grape shines through vintage after vintage. The vinification process incorporates the same techniques as for table wine before pure alcohol is added to the wine bringing the strength to over 15 degrees. Apricot and white peach, with citric hints and a whiff of mandarins all combine in this wonderfully refreshing and finely balanced pudding wine. Made entirely from Muscat de Frontignan à Petits Grains, this wine is, once more, highly modish… and not before time!
