We are delighted to offer help and guidance for your special day should you be arranging the drinks yourselves or hiring a caterer. We have put together a little guide to help you along...
When to start thinking about the drinks...
The process needs to start around a minimum of 2 months before your wedding date. We start by asking a few questions about your event such as the numbers attending, menu or food being served, theme and budget. From here we take into consideration your likes and dislikes in wine and also that we will be catering to a crowd. Next, our team will guide you towards a selection of bottles for you to purchase and take away with you. We are unable to provide individual tastings for events. We usually recommend trying the wines with your menu or with friends and family to help you narrow down your choices. If you do not have an Loyalty Account with us, we can set one up for you at our initial meeting which will give you discount on many goods purchased from us.
Volumes...
We will help advise on volumes of wine you need for your event, for your welcome drink, toast and during the meal. Volumes for evening events after the wedding breakfast can be advised on an individual basis but vary considerably from client to client depending on length of event, time of year and what your guests will drink.
Glassware...
We offer a range of Riedel glassware to help cater to your event. This free service is only offered when purchasing goods from us and must be commensurate with your order. We offer Flutes, White wine glasses, Red wine glasses and Tumblers. Breakages are charged at £7/glass and a cleaning fee of £1.50/glass if returned dirty.
We do offer a Sale or Return policy of up to 25% of each line. Broken cases (soft drinks/water/beers) are not accepted and labels must be in perfect condition upon return (i.e. not torn or water damaged). Wines ordered in specifically for you are not available for sale or return as per Our Guarantee.
Delivery...
Goods and glasses are delivered together a minimum 2 days before your event (i.e. delivered on Thursday if your event is a Saturday)
Payment and pricing...
Payment will be required 3 weeks in advance to secure stock and price of goods.
Please note prices may change from original quote to purchase due to vintage/supplier changes and this is beyond our control.
