Paul Banahan

Paul has immersed himself in the hospitality industry for over 10 years; including working as a general manager of several award-winning restaurants and for the last six years working solely in the wine industry. Having been both sides of the bar, Paul has a firm understanding of customers’ needs and expectations. This gives him a great advantage to be able to assist your business. His love of wine and passion for the wine industry has led him to achieve WSET level 3 advanced award in wines and spirits.

Over the last four years Paul has been the account manager for the South West of England at Berkmann Wine Cellars, regarded as one of the best wine merchants in the UK. Here he was part of an award-winning team and supplied multiple high-end outlets including Michelin Star restaurants. Working with a large high-end portfolio, he also provided support, advice and bespoke training to his customers.

Paul prides himself of being approachable and will really listen to customers needs. He enjoys working alongside chefs, sommeliers and general managers to create well balanced and considered wine lists to enhance the food and whole dining experience.

Paul is Jersey-born and is delighted to have now returned back home to Jersey with his wife and daughter. Not only does he have a huge passion for wines but also for golf and rugby. He has an enviable handicap so you'll often find him on one of our stunning golf courses or up the Rugby Club supporting the Jersey team.
