Haut Brion... and Bruichladdich? A match made in heaven for lovers of wine and whisky! Bottled by Douglas Laing as part of their 'Old Particular' collection, this particular release spent 12 years slowly maturing in french oak casks that was previously used in maturing red wine from Bordeaux's 6th first-growth vineyard Chateau Haut Brion! Bruichladdich's signature unpeated malt has proven itself to be a fantastic maturing in wine casks, this is no exception.
NOSE: A floral, fresh sweetness develops to polished wood and honey’d Malt
PALATE: Raspberries and clotted cream alongside a spiced oak depth with juicy apricots
FINISH: Long with autumn fruits, a hint of orange blossom and a gristy character
