Description
Pisco is a grape brandy that was first made more than 400 years ago. Both Peru and Chile have established Denomination of Origins for Pisco, and argue vociferously over its true origin! Most Chilean Pisco is made with the Muscat grape, while in Peru distillers are permitted to use any of eight different varieties making a higher quality of Pisco, stricter rules and forbidding addition of sugar and water post distillation. BarSol Pisco is made using traditional methods dating back to the 1800s. Made at Bodega San Isidro, one of Peru’s most modern distilleries, this high quality Pisco is made with a traditional soul from a combination of Quebranta, Italia and Torontel grapes.
The Acholado Selecto - On the nose you will find aromas of ripe tropical and orchard fruit with light floral and citrus, complimented with pastry notes. Fruit on the nose is amplified on the palate joined by hints of caramel, spices and pecans. Round and silky with a long, soft finish.
An intensely aromatic Acholado pisco that makes a particularly interesting Pisco Sour.
