Burgundy 2022 En Primeurs

We are pleased to share an allocation for this excellent 2022 vintage in Burgundy that has produced some amazing wines. The whites show plenty of depth and ripeness balanced with superb freshness, the reds are very impressive with succulent ripeness, balanced acidity and supple tannins.

The 2022 season was one of the warmest, driest summers on record but thanks to fair drops of temperatures at night, Burgundy has produced some of the freshest, most vividly fruity wines ever with(finally) relatively larger yields after a succession of very small harvests. The succulent textures and intense flavours make 2022 a hugely successful, high quality vintage that will provide a great deal of pleasure to drinkers and they have the weight and structure for serious ageing.

The Chablis 2022s are wonderful, displaying great balance and expressive fruit character, while in the Côte d’Or, the wines represent a beautiful vintage, balancing concentration and freshness. The reds, in particular, show excellent potential for long-term ageing that can be ranked with some of the finest of the past vintages like 2005, 2010 and 2015.
